Recent reviews

Miley & Her Dead Petz is chaos without filter. Unstructured, indulgent, and intentionally anti-commercial, the album captures Miley Cyrus at her most unrestrained, prioritizing experimentation and personal catharsis over coherence, accessibility, or listener engagement. It’s radical, but largely unfocused.

Sonically, the record dives into psychedelic pop, experimental rock, lo-fi textures, noise, trap detours, and distorted balladry. The production is raw and deliberately messy, often abandoning melody and structure in favor of atmosphere and provocation. The result feels more like a collection of demos than a finished album.

Lyrically, Dead Petz explores grief, sex, drugs, identity, absurdism, heartbreak, and emotional fragmentation. While moments of vulnerability exist, they’re buried under shock tactics, repetition, and conceptual clutter. Expression often replaces communication, making connection difficult.

The 1-star rating reflects ambition without discipline. While the album is brave and conceptually free, its lack of editing, narrative direction, and musical focus severely limits replay value and emotional payoff. Many tracks feel self-indulgent rather than exploratory. The songs lenght is definitely too long to enjoy even one song.

Miley & Her Dead Petz stands as the most divisive chapter in Miley Cyrus’ career. Artistically fearless but structurally broken, it’s more interesting as a statement of freedom than as a coherent musical experience.

Favorite Track: Twinkle Song

Skip Track: basically the whole album 😭

Disclaimer: This Is my opinion based on personal taste and emotions.

The skip tracks are not bad songs but just songs that are less memorable.
