Beatles would hate me for this, But being an amateur In English and English songs. I feel good when I understand a composition. Especially an allegoric composition. Norwegian Wood perhaps is some meeting place. She asks the singer to sit but has got no chair, so he sits on a rug (Low-efforts toward our singer, he clinges on) Girls got plans, our singer is quite remains in the darkness so he lits up fire in the Norwegian Wood, their meeting place, their memory. And looks for a better future. Optimistic
