An inspired album, Lenker’s voice contrasting the heavy music is beautiful. Some songs lean into the grit of her vocals and those are the ones that shine through. Some fall a bit flat and are a bit repetitive and grating for my liking, and could have done with being a bit more gentle - in my opinion that would have elevated certain songs. But the rock aspect is not lost throughout and is a very promising debut.

Not an album I would listen to all the time, but one that is the best of it’s kind when I do. It’s quiet and reflective, one that feels like a warm summer’s night, but you sit out in the sun long enough to watch it go down.
