Recent reviews

Honeymoon is Lana Del Rey at her most distant and refined. Dreamlike, slow, and emotionally suspended, the album feels less like a confession and more like a state of mind. It doesn’t demand attention; it drifts, hypnotic and elegant, trusting the listener to meet it halfway. Sonically, the record leans heavily into cinematic jazz-pop, orchestral arrangements, and languid tempos. Strings glide, beats dissolve, and melodies unfold patiently. The production is luxurious and airy, creating a sense of emotional detachment that feels intentional rather than cold. Everything moves in slow motion, as if time itself were softened. Lyrically, Honeymoon explores loneliness, longing, fame, escape, and romantic disillusionment. Lana writes with restraint, often sounding more observational than immersed. Emotions are present, but kept at a distance, wrapped in imagery rather than exposed directly. It’s introspective without being raw. The reason the album lands at 4.2 instead of five is immediacy. While the atmosphere is stunning and cohesive, the album asks a lot from the listener. Its uniform tempo and tone can feel elusive rather than immersive, making it less emotionally gripping than her most visceral work. Still, Honeymoon remains one of Lana Del Rey’s most elegant and misunderstood albums. It’s not meant to be consumed quickly or loudly. It exists to be lived in slowly, rewarding patience with beauty and quiet melancholy. Favorite Track: Salvatore Skip Track: - Disclaimer: This Is my opinion based on personal taste and emotions. The skip tracks are not bad songs but just songs that are less memorable.
