This was my first Lorde album release as her fan. It completely blew my mind.
I still remember the first time I listened to it—on 27th June 2025—I was in Croatia on vacation. I knew about the release, but didn’t really care for it. “I will listen to it when I’ll listen to it,” I thought.
But then, I woke up at 05:33, only twenty-seven minutes before the album was released. I got up from my bed, took my phone and JBL speaker, and crawled into my father’s bed to listen to the album. (He’s also a big fan of hers.)
At first, I was really sleep deprived and didn’t really listen to music and lyrics. Not to mention, that What Was That was the only single that I liked.
Shapeshifter totally changed my life. It is one of her best songs ever, and the way she performs it is insane.
I’m a fruit that leaves a stain—genuinely, who writes like that?
I had no idea what Clearnblue is, but after I heart the lyrics “After the ecstasy, testing for pregnancy” I had a pretty good idea what it was about. This is my favourite song off the album, because I never heard one like it. Her best lyrics ever.
(Hearing Clearblue life healed something in me.)
Broken Glass is still too much of a personal song for me to even try to explain just how much I love it.
This album changed my everything. And I truly want to thank Lorde for being true to herself throughout her entire career.
I can’t wait to see her again 🤍.
(my goat isn’t washed 🥲)

I think this album is amazing and I don’t get the hate for it, very talented and I love David!
This album is just not for me
It’s giving he/she/we/they/them/non binary/vegan/vegetarian…

First Lorde album I’ve ever listened to and honestly impressed and I can’t wait to explore more of her music
As a huge fan of Solar Power I didn’t necessarily expect to love this as much as I did. I would definitely recommend listening to it multiple times though to get a full sense of the album. It’s grown on me even more over the last few months.
Virgin is this raw, vulnerable and authentic album that is more a journey than an album.
Hammer is the perfect opener that captures the essence of this album.
Some lyrics are incredibly “Virgin”, Lorde succeed because you can describe every single track with one word : Virgin.
“Don’t know if it’s love or ovulation”
“I jerk tears and they pay me to do it”
“I’m scared to let you see into the whole machine, leave it all in the field”

When WWT dropped as a single I was hnnnnggghhh. MOTY was a grower. Hammer hit hard. Favourite Daughter was one that grabbed me on the first listen. Love the Dexta Daps sample in Current Affairs (girl got that punani!). Also props for the Shuga Shuga sample in If She Could See Me Now.
