This album just didn’t feel like Sade, it’s ‘88 and she was already pretty big so maybe this just had too much industry influence. It definitely has far more of that 80’s pop sound than her last 2 albums. This album also just doesn’t provide as much lyrical depth and blues Sade had previously shown on her projects.
