I’m not drain gang. I don’t get what people like about this music. Second half is more pop and sounds better. This albums lyrical miracle rapping is like nails on a chalkboard. 46 minutes of my life I will never get back. It doesn’t make sense even as art, I can only see this being appealing to people who want to be pretentious about being ‘not like everyone else’. Sonically it’s music for the medicated.

A must listen if you are old or young, really defined an era and a genre. Unfortunately both extremely naturally gifted Layne Staley and original bassist Mike Starr are no longer with us Alice in Chains has an amazing discography that has aged like fine wine. Maybe a lesser known band to the contemporary music listener since they were not as commercially successful or global like nirvana or pearl jam. Incredible sound and style and super talented group of musicians. Favourite tracks: Bleed the freak It ain’t like that Confusion I know somethin (bout you)*
