-I had never heard of Terry Presume before and wanted to check out his EP “What Box?” it’s extremely short as you would expect from an EP sitting at slightly above 20 minutes long. I think Terry has a very unique, captivating and even slightly Indie sound for a rapper and the opening track in particular captured my ears very well and i enjoyed it. It’s very malleable and listenable for the average rap enjoyer but i do think that some songs on this EP particularly “Zaza And Some Runts (Smoke Break)” felt quite forced? and unnecessary to the overall progression and stylistic aim of the record. I also felt “None Of This Alone” despite being one of the stronger songs on the EP sounded quite cheesy and corny with some of the lyric deliveries. In overall, i enjoyed his style and his unique sound but i feel Terry needs to attempt to try hone that sound and skill a little bit more and he could make a very interesting and solid record.
