Recent reviews

I NEVER DIE is rebirth through defiance. Dark, fearless, and emotionally charged, the album captures (G)I-DLE at their most intense and uncompromising, transforming controversy, anger, and resilience into a statement of survival and artistic control. It’s dramatic, but deeply purposeful.

Sonically, the record blends dark pop, rock influences, hip-hop, trap, and industrial touches with heavy, cinematic production. Guitars cut sharply, beats hit hard, and atmospheres remain tense and explosive. The sound is cohesive and high-impact, embracing aggression as identity.

Lyrically, I NEVER DIE revolves around betrayal, revenge, independence, rage, heartbreak, and self-reclamation. The writing is raw and confrontational, with Soyeon driving much of the narrative through unapologetic authority. Vulnerability and fury coexist, giving the album emotional weight beyond attitude alone.

The 3.9-star rating reflects strong concept, cohesion, and emotional impact. The album excels in intensity, storytelling, and identity, even if its relentless darkness and dramatic tone slightly limit replay versatility. Still, its power and clarity remain undeniable.

I NEVER DIE stands as one of (G)I-DLE’s most important and defining projects. Furious, resilient, and artistically fearless, it marks a turning point where pain becomes control and survival becomes art.
