I SWAY is lightness as detour. Breezy, playful, and deliberately carefree, the album captures (G)I-DLE stepping away from intensity and drama to embrace summer energy and effortless charm. It’s fun and accessible, but noticeably lighter in ambition.
Sonically, the record blends tropical pop, dance-pop, retro touches, and bright electro influences with glossy, sun-soaked production. The sound is cheerful, rhythmic, and easy to digest, but often formulaic, favoring vibe over innovation. Cohesion is present, though the palette feels limited.
Lyrically, I SWAY focuses on freedom, attraction, confidence, summer romance, and emotional lightness. The writing is simple and mood-driven, prioritizing atmosphere and catchiness over storytelling or emotional depth. Attitude remains, but vulnerability is largely absent.
The 3-star rating reflects enjoyable execution with reduced impact. The album is pleasant, catchy, and cohesive, but lacks the conceptual strength, emotional range, and identity sharpness of their strongest eras. Several tracks feel disposable rather than defining.
I SWAY stands as a relaxed and fun interlude in (G)I-DLE’s discography. Bright, playful, and easy to enjoy, but artistically minor, it works best as a seasonal mood project rather than a core statement.
Favorite Track: Klaxon

The skip tracks are not bad songs but just songs that are less memorable.
